Social support has been identified as a key factor in prevention and recovery from psychotrauma. However, its precise definition, its influence and the mechanisms by which it interacts with PTSD remain largely unexplored. How can we promote its protective role when PTSD can alter social relationships, weaken support networks and complicate access to care?

This scientific symposium, aimed at professionals, researchers and students, will provide an opportunity to examine these dynamics and consider the best ways of integrating social support into the care of people affected by psychotrauma.
