Rethinking employment after the tragedy: a DIAV questionnaire

In the aftermath of a tragedy, many victims tell of their difficulties, or even impossibility, of returning to their former professional lives. Loss of meaning, trauma, feeling out of step, loneliness... These often invisible pains become real obstacles in their path. And yet, getting back to one's former career, changing direction or looking for a new job is difficult, especially when one has been through the worst.

The Délégation interministérielle à l'aide aux victimes - DIAV (Interministerial Delegation for Victim Support) has put together a short anonymous questionnaire, circulated on social networks in the spring of 2025, to gain a better understanding of the path taken by victims and their loved ones when the question of returning to work arose.
