Summer 1998, in the countryside. Cassandre, 14, is growing up in the confines of a family manor house, where her family's view of her body is changing. Beneath the surface of everyday life, an incestuous climate takes hold. Her passion for horses becomes a means of escape: she joins a small riding school for the vacations, a place where she is welcomed with kindness, almost as a being apart. There, far from her family's walls, Cassandre discovers a different kind of freedom and a normality that gradually saves her from a world that devours her. This initiatory tale explores the fragility, resistance and quest for emancipation of a teenager in the face of an oppressive environment.
