Les mots pour le dire - Marie Cardinal - 1977
A hard-hitting book, Les mots pour le dire is an autobiographical account of rare intensity, in which Marie Cardinal explores her descent into psychological and physical hell with overwhelming sincerity. This text breaks taboos by giving voice to pain and the body. Misunderstood by doctors, she began a seven-year psychoanalysis. This inner work led her to revisit a past marked by exile in Algeria, death, the unsaid and the wounds of childhood. As memories emerge, the evil recedes. Thanks to her newfound ability to speak, she heals, finally becoming fully herself. A story of rare power.
