Road accidents: those who remain - Les pieds sur terre - France culture - 2019
In 2016, 3,139 people lost their lives on French roads. Among those who survived, some still bear the invisible scars of tragedy. Joachim, 43, woke up in hospital after five days in a coma, with no memory of his accident. Bertrand, a father of four, took over thirty years to find the words to tell the story of his accident. Both were at the wheel. Through their stories, an intimate exploration of the human consequences of road accidents emerges - the guilt, the failing memory, the slow and painful rebuilding in the face of what turned their lives upside down.
